Product Description

Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910), a renowned Russian novelist and moral philosopher, is widely considered one of the world's greatest writers. His work "War and Peace" has been hailed as the greatest novel ever written. According to Tolstoy, the purpose of true creative art is to teach, but his message is delivered with such humor that readers may not even realize its didactic nature. This book is divided into seven parts, featuring some of Tolstoy's most famous stories such as "God Sees the Truth, but Waits" and "A Prisoner in the Caucasus," which the author himself believed to be his best works. Other notable tales in this volume include "How Much Land Does a Man Need?" which exposes the greed of a peasant for land, and the brilliantly told parable "Ivan the Fool."
