The Crow Chronicles by Ranjit Lal

The Keoladeo National Park in Bharatpur, previously under corrupt avian leadership, is seized by a powerful and cunning white crow from Bombay. Together with his elite commando 'crownies', they establish a tyrannical rule, violating basic rights. However, amidst this chaos, unexpected heroes rise, including the shikra Achaanak, the editor Titiri, the tailorbird Phutki, and even the wise owl Ghughuji. Meanwhile, the former leaders, Chakumar Billa the tomcat and Budhboo the bandicoot, scheme to reclaim their power. The result is a fierce and bitter struggle for dominance.
